Meet Sheri - a spiritual entrepreneur, spiritual teacher, speaker, & coach, and a traveling warrior & soul goddess. Sheri has a beautiful heart and pours out so much love through everything that she does! Her story is inspiration and I'm so excited to share it with you now!
Show Sheri some love by following her on Twitter and Instagram, and checking out her website *** 1. What is your philosophy/life motto? "Everyday, in every way, I'm getting better and better." 2. Share a time when you overcame an obstacle in your life? I was 24 years old diagnosed with Social Phobia, Type 2 Bipolar disorder, Major Depression, Social Anxiety, Crippling Anxiety, Insomnia, and Panic Disorder and put on every single medication under the sun to treat those diagnoses as well as their side effects. The speed bump was that I became a hostage to my own mind, and tortured myself with thoughts and self sabotaging behavior for quite some time. My mind held me by the illusion of fear surrounding "what others thought of me" as a Pharma and Medical Device Rep. I had developed an avoidance tendency to go to the offices out of fear they would not let me see the doctor, and although I was treated poorly in some offices my mind made it seem like the every office would be an uphill battle. I felt helpless, hopeless, and sad. Truly sadness and shame were the two emotions that sat with me day in and day out for about 2 years. While on short term disability, I had been connected with a woman for a business opportunity. She led me to a mindset coach who did free calls -- it was then that I heard him speak to anxiety and how we avoid what we perceive to be painful. It all made sense in regards to why I was doing what I was doing and I became very aware of how I was defining myself based on my thoughts. In a split second my life changed, I shifted and it felt like a door was open in my pitch dark room. I learned meditation and began to give myself a daily dose of God's love, rather than a daily dose of meditation. From that day, I came off every medication (including Klonopin, Lithium, and Ambien and began immersing myself in personal development. From that day forward my entire life shifted into love, and 3 years later I am still medication-free. 3. Share something that you want others to know about you. I am highly spiritual and not religious. People think because I use the word "God" that I mean a specific person or name. I grew up in the Bahai Faith which spread the message of Unity for all religions and for all races/backgrounds/genders. God to me is an experience, and not a theory. My mission is to unite people, and help them remember who they are and the powers that are working within them and all around them. I want people to know that it's okay if you're not religious, you are still loved for all that you are -- no matter who you are, and where you come from. 4. What is a piece of advice you would want to leave/give to someone? "You are not alone." There is a presence of love that is your natural state and it is this space within us that we can commune with through meditation daily." Also, Nothing about you is a surprise to the Universe so do not torture yourself with fearful thoughts. God is all loving, and all forgiving. There is no place that you are, that God is not. God is omnipresent, and we are all made in the image and the likeness of God-- therefore, just as God is omnipresent, we are omnipresent as well. If we are looking for God, we are actually looking for the love within ourself. Allow this awareness to soften you, and remind you that it's not just you against the world. Instead of looking outward for love, look inward. The same powers that open a flower in the springtime, are with you right now! 5. Where is your favorite place to travel? How does it make you feel? I love to travel to the beach, and through mother nature. I am easily brought to my knees when I see the proof that God is everywhere. God is in the trees, the sky, and in the vast oceans on this planet. I feel humbled to know that I am a spirit holding up a body that allows me to see such magnificence. I love to feel at one with nature, and be reminded that we are all on this journey of remembering together. 6. Do you have any tips for fellow entrepreneurs? "Don't die with your music still left inside of you." If you are scared of the unknown, congrats! So is everyone that is looking at a path that will require them to stretch. Allow your burning desire to light the way for your vision, then go out and be pulled by that vision rather than by a memory of the past. Share your truth with the world and be unapologetic about it! The Universe did not give you an idea without also giving you the means to see it through. There are people praying for you to come into their life -- now it is time for you to stand tall and play your music for those people to hear. Be the lighthouse, have faith, and know that the Universe has your back. 7. What has been your most recent mantra? I have two... "Money flows to me in delightful and unexpected ways," as well as "how may I serve today?"On the daily I will repeat a prayer from A Course In Miracles that says... "Where would you have me go? What would you have me do? What would you have me say? And to whom?
